Last week we were measuring objects to find the length. First we measured using hand spans, feet and cubits but everyone is different so our measurements didn’t match. Next, we looked at a metre stick and found things around the classroom that were the same as 1 metre, shorter than or longer than 1 metre. We had great fun measuring longer lengths such as the football pitch in the playground and our classroom width and length! After that we were introduced to the 1/2 metre and even centimetres!
